Au Pairs (1992)

An unbroadcast pilot for a prospective series centred on the lives of a group of au pairs.

This untransmitted pilot, titled ‘Sylvie From Brittany’, was intended to establish a series about a group of au pairs living and working in Britain. The central character appears to be Jennifer Jones (Jane Rossington), though no further narrative details of the pilot were made public prior to its production.

The pilot is primarily notable as a potential starring vehicle for the popular actor Jane Rossington, developed by her after a long-running tenure on the soap opera Crossroads. Despite the assembly of a full cast and crew by April Television for the episode, the project did not proceed to a full series commission and was consequently never broadcast.
